Mobile wood-fired pizza • Kilkenny

Started as a joke. Turned into properly serious pizza.

OddBall Pizza Co. is the pizza trailer Patrick and George accidentally talked into existence, with four volcano-orange ovens, local flour grown and milled within 15km, and a menu that refuses to take itself too seriously.

Our story

An odd way to start a pizza company

Patrick loves pizza. George loves pizza. Like many dangerous ideas, this one started as a joke between long-time friends and should probably have stayed there.

Instead, Patrick went off and did actual research, found an Irish seller of proper ovens, and somehow the joke turned into a trailer, a process, and a business. The result is pizza with a strong local backbone and just enough chaos in the branding to keep everyone honest.

Why it matters

The point is not just wood-fired theatre. The flour, dough, fuel and sourcing story are part of the product, so this section gives the website a reason to exist beyond a list of toppings.

Local ingredients

The local backbone

Flour within 15km

Spelt wheat is grown in Callan by Will Gabbett and milled at The Little Mill in Bennettsbridge by Rob Mosse for the sourdough bases.

Wood-fired properly

The ovens are fuelled by wood from Castle Blunden Estate, which gives the story and the cooking method the same local footing.

Still looking nearby

The sourcing approach is ongoing: keep it local where possible, keep it quality-led, and keep improving the trailer as the brand grows.
